Peter Hoppo

Chairperson

Peter, CEO of the Aged Care Industry Association, is deeply committed to the care sector. His experience spans roles with National Disability Services and as a senior policy advisor to the South Australian Government, where he advised the then Minister for Disabilities. His drive in supporting a family member with a disability fuels his vision for a fairer, more supportive system that gives all Australians a ‘fair go’ regardless of their circumstances.

With postgraduate qualifications in management, Peter values his hands-on beginnings as an electrical fitter. After completing an apprenticeship, he remains engaged with the VET sector. His current focus is on values-based recruitment and creating pathways to welcome and train new workers to the care sector emphasising the skills and values essential for high-quality care and support.
